The story
The deep one. The same green, but rebuilt in oil — thicker, darker, and more insistent, with the light caught in raised ridges of paint rather than in the ground beneath.
Technique
Oil built up in directional strokes from the pupil outward, glazed in viridian and olive, then broken with touches of pale cadmium where the light lands.
Inspiration
The same hazel-green eye, revisited in a heavier medium; the difference between looking and being looked at.
