The story
Two betta fish circling each other in deep blue — the sign of Pisces read as movement rather than symbol. One turns down, one turns up, and the veils of fin they drag behind them close the circle.
Technique
The blue laid first in broad vertical strokes so the water keeps its direction, then the fins built wet-into-wet in white, crimson and violet, each ray pulled outward in one unbroken pass so nothing looks corrected.
Inspiration
A pair of bettas in a tank at dusk, holding still long enough to look like one shape, then breaking apart.
