The story
The cup opened with blood orange and stayed there. The frog leaps mid-air through peel and pulp, above a volcano that no longer erupts anything but shade trees.
Technique
Fine impasto built stroke by stroke on raw linen, letting the weave carry the light through thin glazes.
Inspiration
Blood orange acidity, high-altitude sun, and the moment a jump has not yet landed.
