The story
The first painting of the Colombia chapter. A frog walks out of the coffee zone at midday with an apple bursting above the ridge — the fermentation note made literal, palms and a tiled farmhouse holding the rest of the frame.
Technique
Small loaded strokes on fine canvas, greens layered wet-into-wet for the mountain, then the apple built in opaque reds so it physically sits above the sky.
Inspiration
The Tolima–Huila–Caldas triangle, anaerobic honey fermentation, and the shape a smell makes when you try to paint it.
