The story
A signature lot aged in oak rum barrels, so the cup arrived already telling a sea story. The frog captain runs a sack of Colombian coffee past a burning galleon at sunset, rum barrels lashed to the deck.
Technique
Grey storm sky brushed thin, then heavy impasto for water and rigging; the sword, spray and cannon sparks are single unblended whites laid last.
Inspiration
Oak rum barrel ageing, Caldas harvest weeks, and every pirate story that starts with cargo.
